SCd Architects Ltd is a design led practice based in Surrey. Quality of design is our core focus, however we do not believe that this should be at the expense of two other central issues: affordability and deliverability.  At SCd Architects we enjoy working closely with our clients with a passion to exceed aspirations. We aim to de-mystify the architectural process through transparent analysis, option appraisal and design development resulting in projects that are appropriate, elegant and importantly, enjoyable.

The design practice was formed by Stephen Clifton in 2008 following fifteen years experience as a principle member of the design and management team for a large awarding winning national practice of Architects in the UK. During this time extensive experience was gained in key sectors of the construction industry enabling SCd Architects to provide architectural services in the following sectors Housing, Education, Retail and Commercial, Arts and Leisure, Masterplanning and Regeneration.

We are experienced in all work stages from brief development and concept proposals to the preparation of detailed planning applications through to detailed development and site operations. We are also regularly asked to undertake site and options appraisals which enables our clients to quickly and cost effectively assess the viability of future development opportunities.

We have been voted Winner of the Guildford Borough Council Design Awards for 2011-2013 by a panel of regional Architects and Landscape Architects and also finalists in the RIBA South / South East Architecture Awards 2014 for Chalk Ridge.
